Purpose from the beginning

OUR STORY 

 After a decade managing Chicago multifamily properties, founders James, Nathan, and Antonio saw the industry split in two directions:


Large firms automated away service — replacing on-site managers with offshore call centers and relationship-based management with algorithm-driven processes.

Small operators stayed personal but lacked the systems or staffing to deliver consistent results.

Both approaches failed owners, residents, and buildings.


E x R was founded to solve that gap: disciplined operations with founder-led accountability. Modern systems with hands-on oversight. Professional infrastructure without the corporate distance.


We chose not to scale at the expense of service — or stay small at the expense of systems.
